Editorial comment – ‘It would be good if the government actually knew already based on health records who needed what places. Also a system like the UK where people are automatically given a school place (disability or not) based on where they live and the government future proofs accordingly. Finally, separating ‘special’ schools from ‘ordinary’ schools is really not how you run an inclusive society.
